UNIONTOWN
Terroristic threats: Anthony Yancey, 33, of Cleveland is accused of hitting Kamree Deshields with a gun on Friday at around 4 p.m. in an alley near 4 Carston Street. Uniontown police said Deshileds told them Yancy also grabbed her by the hair and struck her in the face and cheeks with a closed fist. He was charged with two counts of terroristic threats, simple assault and was cited for harassment. He has yet to be arraigned in the case.
POINT MARION
Risking Catastrophe: David George Jr., 54, of Point Marion is accused of igniting a firework inside a PVC pipe on Friday at approximately 10:37 p.m. According to the criminal complaint, Point Marion police responded to reports of a loud explosion and smoke in the area. George was identified as a suspect through video footage. Police said he admitted to using the PVC pipe to launch the fireworks but said the base of the pipe exploded, causing a loud explosion and pieces of shrapnel to land on several surrounding properties. He was charged with risking catastrophe, six counts of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for next month.
