Nancy Jeanne Blake Solomon, 94, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Beechwood Court, with her family at her side.

She was born April 6, 1931, in Uniontown, to the late John S. and Marguerite H. Blake. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Nancy was a graduate of South Union High School, Class of 1948.

She was formerly employed by Uniontown Hospital and the Fayette Candy Company.

She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed decorative embroidery. She loved to work in her yard and care for her beautiful flowers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Solomon; her siblings and their spouses, Virginia Wardle (Donald), Kathryn Crutchman (Ira), George S. Blake (Jean), and John S. Blake (in infancy). She was also preceded in death by her nephew, William Wardle; and niece, Pamela Crutchman Shultz.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Deborah Lynn Hauger (Richard L.), and Terry Lee Cluss (Chris); beloved granddaughters, Shelby Lee Hauger, and Jane Cluss Gasch (Tommy); special nephew, Ralph Wardle (Rosemary); and many nieces and nephews.

Her daughters would like to thank all the caregivers who have helped to care for their mom over the past several years. Special thanks to the kind and caring staff at Beechwood Court and Amedysis Hospice, who provided excellent care during the past few months.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood.

All services will be held privately with the family. Interment will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
