Margaret Klamerus, 97, of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 in her home.

She was born August 21, 1927 in Cardale, Fayette County, Pa., a daughter of the late John and Anna Cornett Donelich.

Mrs. Klamerus attended Redstone Schools and Brownsville High School and resided most of her married life in Cumberland Township, Greene County. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church, Nemacolin and was currently a member of the St. Matthias Parish in Carmichaels.

Mrs. Klamerus worked at the G. C. Murphy Store in Brownsville before and after her marriage. She then worked at the former Gablers Drug Store in Carmichaels for 21 years retiring in 1989. Mrs. Klamerus enjoyed baking and cooking. Her specialty dish was pierogies. She was active in her church and served as president of the Our Lady of Consolation Altar Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. Mrs. Klamerus had been a member of the Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club since 1967 and enjoyed sports including local teams and the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins. Most especially, she cherished her family.

On September 16, 1950, she married Stephen Klamerus, who died January 12, 2010.

Surviving are a son, Jerry F. Klamerus (Jackie) of Hardeeville, S. C.; two daughters, Margaret McCombs (Jerry) and Bernadette Klamerus, both of Carmichaels; two grandchildren, Jerry McCombs and Justin Klamerus; a great-granddaughter, Madison McCombs; a sister, Helen Smith of Willowick, Ohio and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers who died in infancy and two sisters, Elsie Solobay and Olga Snock.

Family and friends are welcome from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME, Martin J. Yoskovich, F.D./Owner, 300 South Vine Street, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025. A Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 11 a.m. at the St. Matthias Parish at St. Hugh with the Rev. Thomas Lewandowski as celebrant. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Park.
