Uniontown
Peter Joseph Barchetti, 92, of Uniontown, passed away, in his home, Thursday, March 20, 2025, with his family by his side, after a long battle with cancer. Peter was born March 20, 1933, in Uniontown, ason of the late Peter and Adeline Coppola Barchetti.

Also surviving are his sister, Evelyn Sandala; brother, Anthony (Anita) Barchetti; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Peter earned his CFP and was the founder and co-owner of Barchetti Financial Services since 1985 working alongside his son and successor, Larry Barchetti serving clients as a tax preparer, accountant and investment broker.
Peter was an icon in the community, and he lived his life to serve his community. He was a past president of the local Kiwanis Club, and a long-standing member (57 years) of the Uniontown Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of the Chief Williams Hook and Ladder Company and held the position of treasure of the Relief and Boosters Association. In addition, Peter organized the annual Fireman’s Steelers football trips for many years. (He loved to get hold of the microphone on those trips and was a great storyteller, making sure everyone always had a good time). Peter never missed working a Bingo night for the Fire Department.
Peter’s social life and community service included these and many others, but his church and the Fire Department meant so much to him. He was a member of the St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church and volunteered as an usher for many years.
