Terence D. “Terry” Conner, 86, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 25, 2025, after a brief illness. He was born June 30, 1938, in Chambersburg.
Terry was a proud alum of Penn State University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
He worked as a professional engineer employed by Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for the majority of his career.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Norman L. Conner and Fern Durboraw Conner; his daughter, Gretchen Diane Wood; and his son, Douglas Michael Conner.
He leaves behind his wife of 65 years, Diane Shultz Conner; his daughter, Karen Sue Plaski (Dale); and his son, Terence D. “Tod” Conner, II (Dian); and son-in-law, Barry R. Wood. Terry was “Paps” to five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.
Terry will be remembered for his passion for golf. His happy place was on the golf course. Terry had many sayings that were affectionately known as “Terry-isms” by his family. His legacy will live on through Terry-isms! As Terry would say, “so be it”
Visitation for Terry was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 27, in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, PA 15401, where visitation continues from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of a funeral service, Friday, March 28.
